Meal planning using what is already on hand.

Meal planning again at the beginning of a new week leads me to do this with the idea of just making meals..  making do with what I already have.  Searching thru cupboards and pantry pulling out ingredients, being creative to plan meals for the week ahead, trying to be frugal! I came up with quite a few tasty and healthy dishes.
I wanted to share last night's recipe for unstuffed cabbage rolls.  I had made this before and loved it, just the other day seen it again mentioned on the homespun wife's youtube channel.  It is super easy and I was soo glad to know that I had everything on hand to prepare it again.

UNSTUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS
- Brown 1-2 lbs ground beef
- Chop 1 onion throw in pan to brown with beef
- 2 cans diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 head of cabbage chopped
- 2 teaspoons of chopped garlic, I use the minced garlic in the jar
-Salt & pepper

Brown the ground beef and onion, add other ingredients, cook until done.
This took me about 35-40 minutes to complete.
